Ajax Demonstration, Displaying Current News Stories
This is a simple demonstration of the use of Ajax. David Summer is using Ajax technology to display news headlines from an RSS news feed. Ajax (a shorthand for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is being used here to communicate with the web server, in order to obtain an updated news feed and display each update without refreshing the entire page.
The headlines are updated every 5 seconds and a random story is also taken from the list and described on the right. A user may select between getting news stories from the Yahoo News RSS feed or the NPR News Headlines RSS feed.

How can using Ajax technology enhance your business communication efforts?
Appropriate use of advanced web technologies, like Ajax, on your website will contribute to the overall user experience. Making the information you have to offer easy to see and hear encourages prospective clients to stay on your website longer and provides a positive impression of your business. Selecting and implementing the appropriate technologies for your business communication needs is what we do best.
Some of our other advanced communication technologies include business podcasting and other inclusive communication technologies including audio captchas and complete Section 508 accessibility compliance services.
Contact David Summer at SummerSound today to find out how you can take advantage of the latest Web technologies for your business.
